Radiate a Healthy Lifestyle

February 3rd, 2022 | Share via:

In today's day and age, we are moving so fast in modern life that we tend to forget about our health. We don't get to check on ourselves daily on what we are feeling. Some of us might feel being on a treadmill trying to juggle things to keep pace with the responsibilities - it seems like we are moving so fast to keep up.

As we get caught in the busyness of life, keeping a healthy lifestyle could be an overwhelming challenge. Having a busy schedule is not a bad thing - as it is part of today's culture. However, overfilling yourself can negatively affect your health.

Embracing healthy habits in pursuit of success could help us stay productive and motivated- here are some tips on how we can radiate healthy habits that we should include in our daily lives.

 1. Engross in Exercises

Exercising in the morning when you wake up or at night before you call it a day has benefits, not only physical benefits as we often hear, but it could also help elevate your well-being. You do not need to allot hours of your day to exercise - it could only take at least 15 minutes to 30 minutes to spare for this activity. There are a lot of exercises you could do even without any equipment - you can still do moderate exercises like walking, running, dancing, pilates, or doing yoga and stretches. You can think of ways to make exercise be part of your lifestyle to keep you on track.

2. Mindful Eating

There are times when we take our meal we eat mindlessly, rushing mealtimes to get ahead of our work or even skipping our meals for the rest of the day. Aside from eating because of hunger, there are times we eat to satisfy our cravings. Being mindful when you eat doesn't mean being perfect, but setting your body relaxed whenever you eat and focusing on the taste, sense, and awareness. Take a moment to appreciate the food in front of you - it is not about limiting yourself to eating clean, counting calories on your food, or alleviating your food intake in a day for your diet. Beginning to eat mindfully is a process that could help your health and well-being.

3. Allay Screentime

During the pandemic, social media has been our way of staying connected with our families and friends. Most of us spend many hours scrolling through our phones that became part of our daily routine, especially when working. Unrestrained screen time could not only damage your eyes but could also affect your health. While technology these days helps us to remain connected. You must at least manage your screen time and let your eyes rest. Limit how much time you'll spend on every social media platform, and make use of the time to engage in physical activities or think of a substitute for you to avoid picking up your gadgets instead of sitting at your screen all day.

4. Get Enough Sleep

There may be days when we don't get adequate sleep but getting enough sleep plays an essential role in our body's health. It helps maintain our health and well-being as it has a lot of benefits like increasing productivity and better concentration. On the other hand, not enough sleep could also put our health at risk that can cause a weak immune system. Our body needs rest for us to be capable of performing well in our daily routine. Get at least 7-8 hours of sleep each night and be consistent with your sleeping schedule.

5. Eat Healthily

Eating healthy means a lot to our body - it could be difficult for some of us to eat fruits and vegetables or make them as a side dish for our everyday meal. As we challenge ourselves in eating clean, we could at least make a schedule of our meal prep - this is to limit ourselves from eating more junk foods other than choosing to eat healthily. A balanced diet is essential to our body and immune system as healthy food provides nutrients and vitamins that could help boost our immune system, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

7. Make a Routine

Sometimes there are some barriers that make us avoid our routine plan. Making changes and creating new routine habits that could fit our lifestyle can help keep track of our progress. Start small in creating a routine for simple accomplishments that you will do. Work at your own pace and focus on your goal, there are times when we will get caught up by the progress of others, but we must keep an eye on our target. Be consistent with your routine or make improvements each day - because making little progress is still progress. It might take a while to get into that routine. Take it day by day, don't put too much pressure on yourself to get a perfect lifestyle. Just do what's best for you and what will work for you and improve from there.
